New to OC: Introducing Juun.J

BY Alice Newell-Hanson | Thu. August 9, 2012 | 12:00 AM | OC
Juun.J is new to OC this season. The Korean designer has sent his all-black looks into the men's store like a cyber army and we're powerless to resist. Juun is known for his sharp tailoring, streetwear shapes, and unusual materials (in the past these have combined to produce pieces like fur-fringed crop tops), and this collection has plenty of each.

For fall, the silhouettes are World War I-inspired but the fabrics are space age. A favorite Juun piece, the oversized trench coat, gets remade with leather patches and neoprene pockets. Also reworking an army classic, this faux fur sweater looks and feels like the fuzzy inside of an aviator jacket, complete with leather shoulders. But the most cybertastic of all: an oversized pullover made from thick black neopene and paneled like a sand suit from Dune.
