Just for Kicks: OTZ FW12

If you've ever put on a pair of Crocs, you'll know that they are supremely comfortable. "It's like walking on air," says my dad when he's trying to channel Mario Batali. But you don't have to look like a Smurf to be comfortable; OTZ's high-tops are cute. Their soft oiled suede and color combinations make their clever technology more like a surprise bonus.

The label was started by the creative director of an athletic brand and two surfers from Malibu, who wanted to recreate the feeling of walking on sand. Taking inspiration from the padded shoes found on Oetzi the Iceman (dating back to 3300BC), they developed a unique cork insole, designed to cushion and mold to the shape of your foot while also improving your posture. We've tried them on and can vouch for the fact that it's like walking down a beach, or better still, that it's like walking down a beach after yoga.
