Looking everywhere from Japan to our country's heartland in the past, when considering our Opening Ceremony footwear collection this year, we looked to the East. Taking inspiration from India - specifically Indian ceremonies, we were most struck by one ceremony in particular. The Hindu springtime festival of Holi. A look at the festivities make it no question why we were so visually struck: on the main day of the festival, people throw colored powder and water at each other and turn cities and citizens into technicolor dreamscapes.

Reflected through the curry and fuchsia colors as well as the patterns, leathers, and silhouettes, the influence of the Holi festival went seamlessly into our collection of women's shoes. Check out our brand new styles and some photos we sourced of the festival!
