We sat down with Daniel Silberman and Jus Ske, the two guys behind ILLESTEVA eyewear, whose PIZZA TRUCK POP-UP SHOP  is chilling in the OCLA parking lot today from 12 to 7

How did the idea for the Pizza Truck Pop-up Shop come about?

This past January, we had a meeting at Opening Ceremony. There, we came up with the idea to do a special truck that would also serve food, the week before Coachella. We're doing a pop-up shop world tour that started in Miami and will end in Australia. For the Pizza Truck, we have a lot of friends in LA so we're really excited.
What new styles and colors can we expect to see today?
This season, we expanded our color offerings, like the new Cream Horn. We also developed special finishes, such as sanded matt.

What's your favorite era for sunglasses?
The 1940s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood, Brigitte Bardot, Romy Schneider and our day-to-day lives in New York also inspire our designs.

What are the top films that have inspired you to create a look?
Taxi DriverAnnie Hall, La Vie En Rose and a lot of documentaries.

If you were about to be sent on an expedition to Mars, never see another human again, what three possessions would you bring?
Daniel: My bed, my favorite hoodie and my iPod.
Jus Ske: My sunglasses, my boots and my Blackberry--who knows, I might get service up there.
