You've traveled the world touring with MadeinTYO, what was your favorite place to visit?
By far, my favorite city and country is Tokyo, Japan. I could live there easily. Lots of my inspirations in my early childhood came from Japanese anime. So it's almost a dream to experience it first hand.
What's the craziest that's happened while on tour?
I won't disclose what city but our hotel’s location got leaked on the internet and groups of kids were pulling up to our hotel trying to find us, it was insane.
What were your musical influences growing up? What did you hear in your household?
Growing up in my household, I heard mostly Reggae and Calypso because of my Trinidadian and Grenadian background. But as a kid, I listened to everything because I had Limewire at my disposable. I listened to everything from JAY-Z, Outkast, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye, Pharrell & NERD, Kid Cudi, Soulja Boy, Lil B, Lauryn Hill, Badu, Lil Wayne etc ...
Fashion also plays a big part in your brand, tell me more about that.
Fashion and style are core. Without that side of me, I wouldn't be myself. Anybody that knows me understands how important it is to me. Just know that I have a lot coming.
Who are your fashion influences?
Kanye, Pharrell, Mos Def, Samuel Ross, Virgil Abloh, and Raf Simons.
What was the first fly piece (shoes, clothing, etc) you bought with your own money?
They were these fire Stubbs and Wootton velvet slippers.
Your line of tour merch dropped recently and did really well, do you see yourself dropping more in the near future?
Yeah, I'm going to be reopening my shop within the next couple weeks and I'll have a tee for sale on our upcoming MadeinTYO tour. I also have ideas for multiple different brands that I'm currently working on. Everything is in the works. When it comes to this stuff, I take my time until I know it's right. The Parallel is coming soon.
