Stripes don’t have to be straight. They could be on a sneaker, as psychedelic scribbles. They could be the path of a water balloon. They could be teeth without braces. They could be a circle of friends. They could be on sidewalks in Cuba, where photographer Tyler Mitchell recently photographed local skateboarders. Opening Ceremony and Reebok commissioned the 22-year-old filmmaker and music videographer to shoot this editorial. The cast we teamed up to select — Eloisa Santos, Raimundo Langlois, Sasha Allen, Eddy Leroy, and Julia Updegraff — are more than models. They’re individuals, wearing the OC Pump Supreme (plus its matching socks and inflatable pump technology) exactly as they want. That’s the thing about stripes: there’s no right way to do them. And they never hold still — or is that just us?
