This season at Simon Miller, creative directors Chelsea Hansford and Daniel Corrigan were inspired by a winter lake upstate in Phoenicia, New York—a haven that we’d gladly escape to this time of year. They wove together a medley of varied textures and deep, rich colors across simple silhouettes. The collection felt like a major step for the young brand, further solidifying their place among the new wave of New York designers.
Menswear-inspired details were seen throughout, on crisp blazers, tailored trousers, and smart trench coats, and were juxtaposed with softer slip and sweater dresses, and silky skirts. The styling kept it from feeling too precious or strict, a slouchy shoulder here or unbuttoned top there, giving the impression of casual insouciance.
And no Simon Miller collection would be complete without an appearance from their much-loved Bonsai Bag. Shown in new colors from ruby pink to dusty blue, we can’t wait to add a fresh hue to our arsenal.
