We started in London and now yes, we’re still covering Men’s Fashion Month. After a quick layover in Milan, next stop—Paris! Jet lagged or nah, We’ve been lucky enough to spend time with some of our favorite men’s designers—backstage and in front of the runway.. Below we give you all the fun stuff that goes down at fashion week minus the parts that involve airport security—Here it goes:
As much as we love, work, or obsess about fashion—it’s also easy to have a good laugh. At the end of the day no one should take themselves too seriously. A debate we have a lot: Will we actually wear that? But if that’s how we walk through life, why would anyone ever need new clothes? Which really just sounds awful.
Thankfully though brands like Ami take on this pragmatic challenge: What would men actually wear? And succeed. Which in many ways is the hardest task of them all. Individually each piece stands alone with quality craftsmanship, classic silhouettes, and surprise fabrication like yes, glitter. But when presented collectively, Fall/Winter ‘17 masters what many menswear designers seek to do: create a lifestyle that fits a man who wants to be comfortable-yet-sophisticated and approachable. In other words, you’ll look impeccably dressed without actually looking like you tried that hard—And that my friends is what we call wearability.
