Opening Ceremony is seeking results-oriented and driven professional with 2-5 years Merchandising experience. Must have experience in both retail and wholesale, have JOOR experience and be capable of training staff. Responsibilities:
Prepare for all collections and markets including but not limited to men’s, women’s, RTW, FTW and ACC.
Facilitate sample and style tracking systems to ensure no loss of data or samples as well as communicate any changes to other departments.
Manage all operational duties including but not limited to style creation, maintenance and cancellation, NRF code creation and implementation, UPC generation, all order entry and maintenance, bulk data uploads, style attribution and pricing.
Manage all JOOR responsibilities including style and linesheet creation and maintenance.
Collaborate effectively with Design, Wholesale, Buying, Production, Development, Marketing, E-Comm and Retail teams. Ability to analyze and draw strategic conclusions from weekly selling reports, daily retail sales recaps, competitive analysis and trend research.
Strategic line planning experience ideal to inform future growth opportunities. Must possess an in depth understanding of key volume drivers, market trends and needs in order to accelerate company performance and grow existing business

OC Collection: PT Freelance Technical Designer (New York, NY)-Posted 10/31/2017

Opening Ceremony is looking for an experienced, organized, enthusiastic and motivated freelance Technical Designer to join the design department.

Duties Include:
Sewing techniques specific to fabrication
Create accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, and construction details; manage a complete spec history of all fit prototypes
Translate flat sketches and concepts into technical designs
Attend fittings and resolve any fit issues by demonstrating to the design team that the corrections being applied will result in the desired look
Book models for fittings

Qualifications:
3+ years of Technical Design Experience
Adept in woven and cut & sew construction
Experience in structured woven and cut & sew knit garments including: pants, jackets, suiting, outerwear, dresses, jump suits, and tops
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with patternmakers and sample sewers by creating written/illustrated pattern/fit comments
Must have a strong understanding of garment construction, fit standards, pattern making and grading
Computerized Flat Sketching in Adobe illustrator
Experienced in working on tech packs in Microsoft Excel
Organizational and planning skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail

Opening Ceremony LA is seeking a creative Visual Merchandising Associate. Position reports to Store Manager and Visual Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities:
Takes full responsibility in executing all visual aspects of the store's business from, but not limited to window displays, mannequin looks, display cases stories, building visual sets and installations
Working closely alongside LA's management team as well as HQ's Visual Merchandising Manager to ensure that the Company's directives and business goals are aligned to all business needs
Hands on with store sales team and clienteles needs on a day to day basis while balancing big picture directives from HQ
Correlating to all E-commerce and Online Social Media communications
Implement and delegate regular visual standards training to sales team
Communicate with store teams regarding launches, visual and products pushes and directives
Share weekly image reports with HQ
Oversee implementation of all store windows and installations on a monthly basis
Ensure all display materials and supplies are placed in timely manner within given budgets
Liaise with local production vendors and source multiple pricing options
Build small scale props and displays
Keeping all visual props and storage area clean and organized

Skills:
Well versed in microsoft sweet and has strong communication skills
Works well independently with a sense of urgency while being able to work collaboratively
Is solution based and has a strong sense of budgeting and efficiency
Understands brand adjacency and has vast knowledge of brands, the marketplace, and trends
Demonstrate visual merchandising skills and ability to drive business
Must have ability to work flexible hours, overnights, and extended hours if needed

Posses outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
