The Director of Marketing will be responsible for planning and executing the strategy for all marketing activities. This role will oversee and manage growth, retention, and social initiatives. This leader is responsible for driving the customer acquisition/retention, digital and analytics programs for Opening Ceremony.

Responsibilities include expanding the current direct-response and nascent CRM marketing program by activating new direct response channels, advancing email segmentation and lifecycle marketing, developing a VIP marketing program, and defining and reporting on a full-view marketing funnel. A successful leader will have a very hands on approach and will work quickly to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and its customers.

Earned, Owned and Paid Media:
Oversee entire marketing organization and ensure an integrated approach is taken across all channels including email, social (earned, owned, and paid), and editorial
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that identifies and expands upon new key levers to growth while managing overall budgets
Manage the social media and integrated marketing teams while implementing measurable KPI's for engagement and conversion targets
Develop full marketing funnel projection and attribution to analyze and measure success of all marketing touchpoints in terms of ROAS and customer acquisition and retention
Partner with the creative and brand team to ensure the creative execution drives sales while systematically using data to drive informed decisions
Manage and report on goals and KPI’s for the marketing team and deliver monthly performance read-outs to executive management

CRM:
Determine annual customer acquisition and retention goals and KPIs and implement a measurement plan to track impact and progress of marketing initiatives (e.g., CRM database, customer insights surveys, focus groups)
Expand the CRM strategy to improve the understanding of the Opening Ceremony customer and increase revenues through more relevant communications
Execute a robust test-and-learn email segmentation program to increase message relevancy, engagement, and revenues among key customer segments
Employ lifecycle and re-targeting email campaigns to guide customers through the initial and repeat purchase journey
Aggressively grow the subscriber list by optimizing email collection techniques on site and through external platforms (e.g., social media.)
Lead cross-functional team (e.g., Retail, Brand Marketing) to implement VIP benefits program for top customers to amplify loyalty and use as a testing ground for a full CRM loyalty program

Analytics:
Implement dashboard reporting in Google Analytics
Manage the Business Intelligence Tool (Looker) and Google Analytics to define measurement, analysis and reporting frameworks for all marketing and web site traffic activity
Drive the integration of customer analytics into measuring and informing more effective and efficient marketing spend
Disseminate performance results to the Executive Leadership Team and execution teams to help identify OC’s most powerful mechanisms for scaling the customer base and ecommerce business
Own and advise teams on proper google-tracking (UTMs) for all marketing campaigns to ensure clean reporting

Qualifications:
B.A. required, preferably in a quantitative field. Masters or MBA degree a plus
3-5 years of experience managing and driving marketing and customer strategy in an aspiration and/or luxury retail environment preferred
Very experienced with Google Analytics or similar site analytics application
Very strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities and data driving decision making
Experienced with customer segmentation testing and surveying techniques/best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.)
Ability to rapidly understand new business tools and applications
Demonstrated success in working in a team environment and comfort with being the “expert in the room”
Understands the nuances of working in a rapidly‐growing and quickly‐evolving entrepreneurial environment

Responsibilities:
Execute visual directives from HQ for windows, installations, and special events
Display product and adapting styling directive to store specific needs in alignment with OC brand guidelines
Work with store management team to maximize sales through business report analysis and strategic merchandising plans and strategy to drive sales growth
Create aspirational storytelling through styling and product arrangement
