AUTUMN'S NEW GROUND

PHOTOGRAPHY BY LUKE ABBY

A spiritual conquest begins for two woodsmen, sifting through Autumn's new ground under the aegis of Diana - just as the huntresses in Caccia di Diana. As prey in Boccaccio's poem is transformed from decaying meat to living flesh, actualized lovers are bred from simple animals with mere instincts and desires. In searching for purpose and evolution, one will always feel lost and trapped as the hunted - even if they are in fact the hunter.
